The Mantari Sanur Hotel is located about 500m to the beach. Here at the beach is a spectacular ebb and flow. In the afternoon and especially in the middle of the day is the water very low (about 50cm). In the evening about 100cm. If you want to go snorkeling you have to swim more out, but trust me its worth it. The sea is very clean and clear with a lot of fish. You can do a lot of other water sport at Sanur Beach either. At the beachfront are many good restaurants and bars where you can eat and drink. The biggest difference to Kuta is that sanur is not so busy or overcrowded. It’s the perfect location for relaxed holidays.

Very friendly staff, good rooms: comfortable bed, big TV and Aircon, the flowers and the trees are nice allthough the pool. The restaurant has a good choice of good Breakfast. It’s not so busy. A two minute walk to the beach.

The restaurant is very expensive and you have to pay 21% tax.

* Restaurant Tip : The Amanda Beach Restaurant (direct at the beach with a good view, especially in the evening): The food was always excellent and the price was fair. Two salads, two main meals and two drinks= 100000RP. The Sunrise (Reggae Bar) has a large variety of good food.

Some workers were fixing the roof and reception hall during our stay, which excepted of the first night did not bother us at all. On first night we were given a room very close to this reception hall, so we were woken up by workers the next day at about 6.30am. We asked for a more quiet room and ended up being upgraded to a “swiming-pool view” room at second floor on the opposite site of the hotel, which was perfect. Excepted of that little incident on first night, we enjoyed a lot our stay ( 4 nights in total). Staff was friendly and helpful, american breakfast was rather copious and we enjoyed a lot the nice swimming pool. ”

Small, quiet, but very nice

The hotel is nice, with an entry main office building, a open air restaurant building, and 2 buildings with rooms, where 1/2 the rooms are 2nd floor (up stairs no elevator). A nice little pool is tucked in between the restaurant and the rear building. The rooms are spartan, but clean, and maintained. Twin beds or a king (combined twins), and built in closet/dresser/desk furniture. Only one extra outlet in the room the others supply the lights and small TV (with only local channels). Bathroom with toilet and shower. The food was very good for the most part, all the indonesian dishes were great. Just skip the pizza (made with ketchup). The Mentari Sanur is located in an alley way (small street) opposite the entrance to the Inara Grand Bali. Taxi driver from the airport had trouble finding it, having to call several friends to get directions. This is at the north end of the Sanur beach area, which seems to be going down hill a little due to the beach errosion.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Mentari. The staff were so pleasent and friendly and I would come back in a heart beat! Perfect for the kids and not expensive so we didn’t break the budget. Thank you for all your kindness and we look forward to returning soon!

Excellent hotel. Great price. Good value for money. Breakfast is ok, not excellent. Very clean, though!! Highly recommended.
