Mentari Sanur Hotel

We had problems finding a hotel room in Bali, corresponding with the end of the Muslim holiday of Ramadam, when many Muslims travel to Bali for vacation. This was the only hotel we could find, so we were uncertain what to expect. As it turned out, we had nothing to fear. This is a fine hotel, located not far from the start of Sanur beach, but quite far from Sanur centre. Staff very friendly and helpful, airco and warm water in every room. The only let-down was the breakfast, which consisted of mainly of soggy toast and rice dished. The rooms near the pool are dearer than the rooms near the hotel entrance. Paid about US$50 per night for the room.

some rooms have no DVD when it is busy.

Overall great experience, we enjoyed the breakfast and the pool. easy to walk to the beach, less busy than kuta for sure. The surf is best when the tide is low and the rights only 5min walk fro hotel and not as crowded at the west coast (at least in mid-Oct)

On very dark lane.

Chose this hotel as it was walking distance from the boat to Lembongan but were nicely surprised – a lovely hotel! Very nice staff, surroundings, gardens, buildings, rooms, swimming pool – definitely do not be put off by the dark lane to hotel.

Travel tip : Very near beach – turn left at main road and five minutes walk brings you to the beach and public ferry / boat to Lembongan. More boats earlier in day, starting from 8.30am.
